In 2018, I journeyed to Rome with Catholic Women Speak. My return flight included a layover in Amsterdam where I purchased tulip bulbs. This was the exterior of the first to bloom. The photo to the right is the interior of the same tulip.

Camellias are common in Alabama. This bloom is from a bush that grows just beyond the garage. Sadly, there was a hard freeze the next night turning the pink to brown.
